Arena Group is proud to become an official sponsor of the Volopa Irish Challenge, part of the European Challenge Tour, held at Carlows’ prestigious Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, 8th-11th September 2016.
The Volopa Irish Challenge offers upcoming Team Ireland golf stars the opportunity to gain valuable tournament exposure and the chance to climb through the paid ranks, with the top 15 most successful players at the end of the season graduating to The European Tour.
The tournament comes at an opportune time to capitalise on the recent successes for Irish golfers, such as Ruaidhri McGee who continues to impress with his performances on the European Challenge Tour. Team Ireland is proud to nurture a host of promising young players including Jack Hume, Gary Hurley and Cormac Sharvin, as well as Arena Group ambassador, Gavin Moynihan; all of whom are either rising through the amateur ranks with great distinction or embarking on their first season as professionals.
Greg Lawless, Arena Group CEO, comments: “We are fortunate to work at the top level of sports events across the world, including this year’s Open at Troon, the US Open at Oakmont and at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Woburn.
“We are pleased to support grass root sporting events, like the Volopa Irish Challenge, and championing the stars of tomorrow. We wish the players the best of luck and look forward to see them all playing on the European Tour circuit soon!”
